AWR Junior Tennis:

The winners of the AWR 7th BKSP International Junior Tennis Championship along with guests after the finals at BKSP Tennis Complex, Savar on Saturday.

Wang clinches boys’ title in AWR junior tennis:

Chuhan Wang of China emerged champion in the final of the boys' singles competition of the AWR 7th BKSP International Junior Tennis Championship defeating David Thompson of Great Britain in the final, while the girls' singles crown went to Korean Seng Yeon.


Chuhan Wang scored a come-from-behind 3-6, 6-1 and 6-2 victory over David Thompson to capture the boys' title at BKSP Tennis Complex, Savar on Saturday. Korean Seng Yeon overcame the challenge of Indian lass Nova Patil in the girls' singles final 6-2, 6-4 to don the crown.
Great Britain pair David Thompson and Mathew Thompson annexed the boys' doubles title after winning over Ting Yu Chung and Chieh Fu Wang of Chinese Taipei 7-5, 6-5 in the final.
Seng Yeon and Hyojung Yea of Korea carried home the girls' doubles title defeating Pei Chi Lee and Fang Chi Taso of Chinese Taipei 6-2, 6-0 in the final event.
Member of Parliament Talukder Mohammad Tou-hid Jang Murad distributed prizes among the winners as chief guest after the finals.


The Chairman of AWR Developments (BD) Limited, the sponsor of the tournament, Chowdhury Fazle Imam and the Director General of BKSP Brigadier General M Shawkat Hossain, who was also the President of the Tournament Organizing Committee, were present as special guests.
Forty-eight boys and 38 girls took part in the final round of the AWR 7th BKSP International Junior Tennis Championship, which started on February 3, for 13 countries.
